
ABOUT BRIAN VAN SCHAIJK
I'm a level designer from The Netherlands with 8 years of industry experience. I developed a passion for games when my parents first bought me and my brother a used N64 at a young age. This opened up a whole new world for me, and I quickly became fascinated by the development of these games as well.
Besides playing games I liked to dive in the level editors that came with games such as Far Cry or Halo, and I enjoyed changing up the Campaign experience in Halo: CE using some of the mod tools that were available on PC. I've always had the urge to create, and with a clear passion for games it became clear to me that I wanted to pursue a career in game development more than anything. This eventually lead me to study Game Architecture and Design in Breda.
For me level design is a perfect marriage between game design, art and visuals, narrative, and technology. It is an intricate puzzle where these different elements all have to work together, and it is very rewarding to see all the pieces come together to create the best possible experience for the player.
